Deep, restorative rest for a nervous system that has been working way too hard.

If you are living with EDS, POTS, MCAS, or chronic pain, your nervous system is doing something really extraordinary every single day. It is managing pain signals, regulating blood pressure, processing sensory input, and trying to keep you functional all at the same time. That is exhausting. And over time, a nervous system under that kind of constant load stops feeling safe.

Yoga Nidra is one of the most powerful tools I know for changing that.

It is not an exercise. It is not something you have to be flexible or strong enough to do. It is simply guided, deeply restorative rest that takes your nervous system from survival mode into genuine stillness. And for those of us with chronic conditions, that stillness is not a luxury. It is medicine.

What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra, sometimes called yogic sleep, is a sleep based meditation technique that guides you into deep brainwave states like theta and delta, the same states your brain enters during deep sleep, while keeping you gently aware.

You are guided through breathwork, gentle muscle tension and relaxation, and imagery that requires minimal physical movement, making it ideal for hypermobile, pain sensitive, and fatigued bodies. You do not need any experience. You just need to show up and let yourself rest.

Why it Matters for Chronic Illness

Meditative Yoga Pose

Nervous system regulation

Yoga Nidra activates the parasympathetic nervous system, the rest and digest response, helping your body shift out of the chronic fight or flight state that so many with EDS and POTS live in daily.

Heart-Shaped Hands

Pain support

By calming the nervous system and reducing cortisol levels, Yoga Nidra can help lower the body's overall pain response and make flare days feel more manageable.

Green Sleep Mask

Better sleep

For those whose pain or nervous system dysregulation disrupts sleep, Yoga Nidra offers a deeply restorative alternative that supports the body's natural healing processes.

Reaching Hands

Emotional regulation

Chronic illness carries a heavy emotional load. Yoga Nidra creates a safe space for the nervous system to process and release without requiring you to talk through anything or push through anything.

Mindful Hand Gesture

Brain and body balance

Yoga Nidra synchronizes the left and right brain hemispheres, supporting clearer thinking, improved mood, and greater emotional stability, which matters enormously when brain fog and emotional dysregulation are part of daily life.

Scientifically Proven to...

01

Synchronize left and right brain hemispheres for improved cognitive function and emotional stability.

03

Increase production of serotonin, melatonin, dopamine, endorphins, and oxytocin for improved mood, better sleep, and emotional connection.

02

Activate the parasympathetic nervous system to calm the fight or flight response and restore equilibrium.

04

Decrease cortisol, blood sugar, and blood pressure to reduce the physiological impact of chronic stress.

Yoga Nidra is one of the cornerstones of my own personal practice living with EDS, POTS, and MCAS. On the hardest days when my body simply cannot do more, Yoga Nidra gives me somewhere to go that feels safe, restorative, and completely within reach. It is one of the most accessible and genuinely effective tools I have ever found for nervous system support. I am so honored to share it with my clients.
